Take the first step

The simplest way to influence education policy is to build a relationship with your local legislators. IPA has created a template email to introduce yourself to your state and federal legislators. The message includes an invitation for legislators to contact you as they make decisions on education policy, and an open invitation to visit your school.

Tell Congress to Support Education Stabilization Funds

During economic turmoil, districts and schools need robust resources to ensure students receive high-quality instruction and services to support their social, emotional, and mental health needs. Please make your voice heard and tell Congress to step up and ensure our nation’s public schools have the necessary resources to support their students during this time of crisis.

Tell Congress to provide COVID-19 relief funding to schools

Close the "Homework Gap"

At least 14% of all students do not have reliable home internet access and are at risk of falling behind during remote learning due to school closures. Congress and the FCC can help solve this problem through the E-Rate program.
